Dr. A.P. (Maggie) Shringer, MD

Dr. Maggie Shringer is in private practice specializing in the treatment of allergy and asthma related problems. She set up her practice in Abilene in 1984. Since then, over a period of 30 years she has been caring for the children and adults with asthma conditions and allergy problems in Abilene and the surrounding communities.

She is known for her commitment and compassion towards her patients while providing top quality service.

After completing three years of residency program in Pediatrics at Pontiac Affiliated Hospitals and Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Shringer acquired Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Later she served as a fellow in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan for two years. After her fellowship training, she passed the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) certification examination.  The American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) is a conjoint board of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology qualifies and prepares the board certified allergist to treat numerous allergy and asthma related conditions and problems in children and adults.

Dr. Maggie Shringer has practicing Privileges at Hendrick Medical Center and at Abilene Regional Medical Center. She is an active member of numerous professional societies and associations at local and national levels.

Dr. Shringer is married and has two grown daughters. Both daughters have followed in their mother’s footsteps pursuing careers in health care. In her free time, Dr. Shringer loves cooking, spending time with her family and being a doting owner of her two dogs: Knox and Gabriella.
